The Purchasing Officer is responsible for handling the procurement process and securing the best products and services at optimal prices. Collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the Purchasing Officer ensures that the department is aligned with the needs of the project, along with the industry standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. Job Responsibilities Product Research: Conduct product research and source suppliers and vendors. Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers. Negotiate cost-effective contract terms of agreement, pricing, deals, and contracts. Regulatory Compliance: Safety regulations relevant to the food and beverage industry. Client Interaction: Attending product launches and networking with industry professionals. Establishing professional relationships with clients, as well as vendors and suppliers. Quality Control: Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary. Ensuring all stock is packed appropriately and delivered to the correct location. Documentation and Reporting: Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock. Inspecting and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately. Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or any related field Proven experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry . Strong ability to identify and forecast market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
