Overview Sales Engineer - Visayas Mindanao at SIKA ADVANCED RESINS. The role oversees sales activities and revenue generation nationwide for construction systems in the Visayas and Mindanao area. Territory is defined by place of construction site; islands of Visayas and Mindanao are out of scope for certain leads and opportunities which should be endorsed to the appropriate business unit or sales team. Responsibilities Sales Planning and Strategy: Formulate and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the assigned market segments; identify target markets to expand the customer base; set and achieve sales targets, goals, and KPIs; collaborate with the marketing team for market research. Customer Relationship Management: Ensure customer information is captured in the CRM system (Salesforce); target potential customers through sales activities and events; maintain regular meetings with key customers to support and build relationships; gather and analyze customer feedback for product and process improvements. Sales Team Organization and Leadership: Organize the sales team by region or product line; define roles and responsibilities; establish and monitor sales performance metrics; lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team; provide coaching and feedback on compensation and incentives. Sales Training and Development: Own onboarding for new hires; collaborate with HR for ongoing product knowledge and sales technique development; provide ongoing mentoring and regular one-on-one coaching. Sales Operations and Processes: Ensure forecast accuracy and provide regular pipeline and product forecasts; generate reports for senior management; collaborate with Marketing, Target Market, Technical, and Customer Experience teams on product initiatives, pricing, and process improvements; support sales automation efforts. Key Result Areas: Maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline; lead the sales team to meet targets; drive profitability through price positioning and value-based selling; manage credit terms and collections; participate in customer engagement events. Product Categories Lead sales and promotion of the following product categories. Note: Concrete/industry-related products are out of scope for this role and should be endorsed to the proper sales team or business unit. Refurbishment – repair, strengthening, and protective solutions for concrete structures. Waterproofing – below and above-ground waterproofing technologies and systems. Roofing and Flooring – flat roofing systems and liquid-applied floor finishes. Sealing & Bonding – sealants, adhesives, tapes, and spray foams for building envelopes and interiors. Building Finishing – installation and finishing with tiles, stones, insulated facades, and interior finishing as applied to infrastructure construction. Product scope note: Concrete and Industry products are out of scope for this role; leads for these products should be endorsed appropriately. Sales Geographical Territory The role covers construction systems sales for Visayas and Mindanao. Lead routing, pipeline development, and project management are conducted through regular territory mapping and channel partnerships. Islands of Visayas and Mindanao are out of scope for direct leads; such leads should be endorsed to the appropriate unit. The site of construction dictates geography, regardless of client location. Sales Channels The role balances revenue from multiple channels to maximize profitability and reduce risk. Channel revenue mix is determined by Senior Management in alignment with long-term strategy. Direct: maintain direct relationships with priority customer groups (multinational accounts, main civil/infrastructure contractors, specialized contractors, specialized infra waterproofing contractors, specialized applicators). Distribution: work with distributors to ensure material supply for end-users with varying needs; include project distributors, dealer merchants, and floor/roofing dealers. Sales: lead team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets while upholding relationships and compliance. Profitability: protect margins and implement year-on-year price growth. Credit Collection: manage customer credit and collection policies. Sales Forecasting: adhere to forecasting guidelines and analyze gaps. Customer Engagement Events: coordinate events and market activities. Other Matters Adhere to Quality & Environmental Management System and related ISO procedures (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018). Comply with company policies, systems, procedures, and work rules. Your Expertise – Our Strength Licensed Civil Engineer with over 10 years of formal engineering experience in the construction industry. Engineering experience: Structural, Civil, Architectural, and Infrastructure disciplines; familiarity with BOQ/BOM interpretation is an advantage; background in Quality Control is a plus. Sales Experience: Preferably managing Mindanao area with contractor and distributor networks; proven ability to generate inquiries, prepare techno-commercial offers, and negotiate with corporate clients and government entities; strong relationship-building and market development skills; capable of building a project pipeline. Skills: Ability to identify customer needs, deliver technical solutions, and present product demonstrations; strong communication and negotiation skills; leadership and mentoring ability.
