AREA SALES REPRESENTATIVE – Provincial North Luzon
ORIENTAL MERCHANTS, INC. (OMI) is a proud member of Rayomar Management Inc. 's group of companies. Rayomar, established in 1982, has operations in shipping, crewing, logistics, freight forwarding and international trading.
Oriental Merchants, Inc. was established in 1988 as a trading company. OMI functions as a merchant from the orient, initially importing commercial products from Spain for the Philippine market, and later establishing an export division sourcing buyers from Europe, the US and Asia.
OMI is a distributor of high quality Gourmet food products for supermarkets, hotels and restaurants, including brands from Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Italy. Products include olive oils, canned vegetables, legumes, flavored vinegars, herbs and spices, cheese, pasta, seasonings, Portuguese Anchovies, canned tomatoes and biscuits. It also offers non-food lines such as personal care products (colognes, soaps, shampoos and body fresheners).
What we’re looking for?
We’re looking for a results-driven sales person with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record in sales – retail and foodservice – to actively seek out and engage customer prospects in Provincial North Luzon .

Qualified candidates who will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
Job Description:
- Present, promote and sell OMI’s products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
- Assist Operations in terms of supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Sales Representative covering the Provincial North Luzon area.
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
- Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills.
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
