Key Responsibilities Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the marine insurance sector to achieve growth targets. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including shipowners, charterers, commodity traders, P&I Clubs, and other industry stakeholders. Formulate and implement strategic business and marketing plans to expand the companys portfolio. Collaborate with management to monitor market trends and develop new product or service offerings aligned with client needs. Marine Insurance Broking Manage and grow a portfolio of marine insurance clients, ensuring excellent service delivery and client retention. Assess clients insurance and risk exposure to design customized coverage solutions (e.g., P&I, hull and machinery, cargo, and maritime liabilities). Negotiate with underwriters to secure optimal terms and coverage . Handle Fronting Arrangements and associated Reinsurance support to ensure competitive and compliant insurance coverage. Coordinate with the Claims Department for efficient claims management and resolution. Stay updated on global marine insurance trends and regulatory changes to provide informed client advice. Client and Market Engagement Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings , promoting the companys expertise and services. Serve as a trusted advisor , offering clients guidance on best practices, compliance, and risk mitigation strategies. Qualifications Bachelors degree or diploma in Maritime Studies, Insurance, Business Administration , or related fields. Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine insurance broking, underwriting, or a related maritime industry role. Proven background in business development or sales within the insurance or maritime sector. Holder of a Philippine Insurance Commission Licensing Exam Certification (additional marine insurance certifications are an advanta #J-18808-Ljbffr
