A Technical Support Engineer with knowledge in fire protection systems typically needs a mix of technical expertise, sales acumen, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities- Technical Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support and information during the sales process. Respond to customer inquiries and provide data on products, installation, and maintenance procedures. Assigned in Sales and Marketing Department.
- Needs Analysis: Assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate fire safety solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local regulations). Conduct site visits and risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards and recommend suitable fire protection systems.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product range, including fire alarms, suppression systems, sprinkler, kitchen fire suppression system and FM200. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed technical proposals, bids, and quotations tailored to client specifications. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure solutions meet technical and budgetary requirements.
- Customer Education: Develop technical content for customer-facing documentation and engagement through social media, including manuals and installation.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key decision-makers in target markets.
- Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering (Licensed) or related field.
- Certifications in fire protection systems (e.g., NFPA standards, local fire codes) can be an advantage.
- Knowledge or experience in fire life safety systems – FDAS, AFSS, KFSS & FM200.
- Experience in preparing proposals, quotations, and technical presentations.
- Ability to collaborate with marketing teams to align technical content with branding.
- Must know how to drive.
