About the Role:

The Senior Payroll Officer plays a critical role in producing high-volume payrolls, interpreting employment conditions (Awards, EBAs, AWAs), and managing end-to-end payroll administration. You’ll collaborate closely with the Finance, Administration, and Operations teams, and contribute to the integrity and efficiency of payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for internal staff and on-hire workers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, invoices, statutory returns, and general ledger entries.
  • Apply Awards, EBAs, and employment agreements accurately, managing PAYG, payroll tax, and other contributions.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring secure and confidential data management.
  • Oversee EFT wage payments, handle overpayments, and produce annual payment summaries.
  • Manage payroll–accounting system data transfers (Qlicr to Xero) and assist in onboarding and training payroll staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant payroll experience in a high-volume environment ; recruitment industry exposure is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian legislation, Awards, EBAs, and AWA compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in payroll systems (FastTrack, Greentree, or similar).
  • Excellent time management, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong client-service focus, particularly toward operational staff.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Accounts payable/receivable experience is an advantage.
  • Willing to work full- time onsite at Arcovia, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm)
