Job Description

Reporting to the Trade Channel Marketing Manager, the Channel Sales Information Lead is responsible for collecting, processing, synthesizing, and analyzing sales data for the use of the TCM, Sales, CMII, Brand Category Mktg, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.

  1. Monitor sales and offtake performance of brands and products by trade channel and routes-to-market.
  2. Provide sales and trade channel information such as brand product sales, offtake, and inventory levels, to the sales and marketing team. This includes operations information such as revenues, costs and profit by channel, and/or retail branch/ point.
  3. Share analyses and insight in order to improve channel sales and offtake performance to optimize the efforts of the sales and marketing teams.
  4. Develop and improve the sales information processes of the team.
  5. Report competitor activities, such as pricing and promotions to the sales and marketing team.

  6. College degree equivalent or technical certificate in related field
  7. 3 years experience in data analysis, data

  8. Familiarity with data extraction from systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
  9. A high level of mathematical ability
  10. The ability to gather, extract, analyse, model and interpret data
  11. Problem-solving skills
  12. A methodical and logical approach
  13. The ability to plan work and meet deadlines
  14. Accuracy and attention to detail
  15. An understanding of the ethics of gathering and working with data
  16. Proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI; pivot tables, vlookup, conditional functions, conditional formatting, chart building, and formatting; powerpoint
  17. Ability to build dashboards with simple but clear data visualizations
