The IT Asset Manager will be in charge of managing the entire lifecycle of the organization's IT assetsensuring policy and procedure compliance, optimizing costs, and maximizing the value of IT investments.

You will collaborate closely with various departments to track, maintain, and analyze IT assets to support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Lifecycle Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the acquisition, deployment, and retirement of IT assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and related documentation.
  • Monitor asset utilization and performance to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, licensing agreements, and organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess the security, compliance, and integrity of IT assets.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT asset management, such as software license violations and security vulnerabilities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and escalate issues as necessary to ensure service delivery meets expectations.

Inventory Control and Procurement:

  • Coordinate the procurement and provisioning of IT assets according to business requirements.
  • Track inventory levels, anticipate demand, and manage supply chain logistics to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Optimize procurement processes to streamline workflows and minimize procurement cycle times.

Asset Tracking and Reporting:

  • Utilize asset management tools and software to track the location, status, and configuration of IT assets.
  • Generate reports and metrics to provide insights into asset utilization, compliance, and financial performance.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in IT asset management, procurement, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with asset management tools and software (e.g., ITAM, SAM).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to IT asset management.
  • Certification in IT asset management (e.g., Certified IT Asset Manager, Certified Software Asset Manager) is a plus.
  • Wiling to work full-onsite
