Welcome to our client's Senior Asset Management Specialist position in the dynamic world of Business Equipment We understand the importance of work-life balance, and here, it's more than just a buzzword – it's a promise. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing purchase orders and sales invoices for assets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. Additionally, you will generate monthly reports detailing asset sales and purchases, providing crucial insights for decision-making processes. Your duties will also include maintaining the Fixed Asset Register by accurately accounting for additions and disposals, as well as conducting monthly depreciation calculations to ensure the integrity of financial records. Furthermore, you will perform monthly reconciliations of the Fixed Asset Register with the Netsuite general ledger, ensuring alignment and accuracy between financial systems.

Handle With Care: Your Duties

  • Prepare and process purchase orders and sales invoices for assets.
  • Generate monthly reports on asset sales and purchases.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, accounting for additions and disposals, and conduct monthly depreciation calculations.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Register with the Netsuite general ledger.
  • Review, allocate, and approve invoices for capitalization.
  • Complete monthly journals and general ledger reconciliations related to fixed assets.
  • Manage record keeping for fixed assets to assist with financial statement preparation and auditor requirements.
  • Update assets in InspHire and reconcile asset records between systems.
  • Maintain assets in the Personal Property Securities Register.
  • Collaborate closely with the fleet management team to provide timely financial information.

Gear Up Your Skills: Qualifications That Fit

  • 5+ years of fixed asset experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a similar field, enabling eligibility for CPA (Required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of accounting software systems.
  • Understanding of the nature and accounting for assets.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills, task prioritization, and persistence to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a variety of individuals.
  • A team mindset and the drive to participate in achieving the entity's goals and objectives.
