The HR Specialist (Compensation and Benefits Operation) is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee benefits and compliance with government regulations. The HR Specialist will oversee various tasks related to benefits administration, government agency compliance, and employee support. The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Functions and Responsibilities

I. Payroll and Benefits Administration and Government Compliance

  • Administer employee HMO enrollment and benefits changes up to deletion of record based on the employee life cycle – birth to termination of employee.
  • Collaborate with health insurance providers to ensure smooth administration and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure accurate records of dependents and corresponding premiums for deductions in payroll.
  • Administer processing of sickness benefits and maternity benefits of employees.
  • completion of documentation and reimbursement to SSS on the sickness and maternity benefits of employees.
  • Ensure loan application of employees to SSS and HDMF and ensure proper recording for approved loans in compliance with Payroll Team requirements.
  • Stay informed about changes in government regulations and ensure the company's compliance with SSS, PhilHealth, HDMF, and BIR requirements.
  • Ensure timeliness of updating and enrollment of employees' records to all government agencies (SSS, HDMF, PhilHealth, and BIR). This includes assistance for newly hired employees in collaboration with the employee services team and HR BP's for expat employees.
  • Serve as account officer for SSS, HDMF, PhilHealth, and BIR which include field work.
  • Assist in government agency audits and inquiries, providing requested information and help resolving any compliance-related issues.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate and up-to-date benefits records.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll reports.
  • Process timekeeping
  • Facilitate the maintenance of leave records.

II. Employee Support (Customer Experience) – TIER 1

  • Respond promptly and accurately to employee inquiries related to benefits, government agencies, and compliance matters.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees in completing required forms and documents for benefits and government agencies.
  • Assist in the resolution of employee concerns and complaints related to benefits, deductions, or compliance issues. This also includes general inquiry for payroll for Tier 1.

III. Other Tasks

  • Support the HR team in handling ad hoc payroll transactions, data reconciliations, and special projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to provide assistance during peak periods or team absences.
