Role Description and Responsibilities

The Salesforce Developer and Operations Manager is the Salesforce platform owner and will be responsible for the platform’s day to day management and ongoing uplift in line with business requirements. Salesforce is used for CRM, Quoting, Subscriptions, Billing, Marketing (Pardot), Support and Cases (Service Cloud) and there are a range of plans (some already underway) to integrate Salesforce with the company’s web application.

The Salesforce Admin role will include enhancing and configuring Salesforce for business needs; gathering and understanding stakeholder requirements and translating these into solutions based on the Salesforce platform; designing CRM workflows and designing and implementing solutions, to

further automate business processes for specific business requirements. The Salesforce Developer will be in charge of design, development, testing and change management.

Day to day between the Salesforce project work, this role will involve a wide range of business support services, including order processing, updating and maintenance of systems; generating and preparing reports and dashboards; and generally supporting the wider team with respect to administrative tasks.

The role will be split approximately 80% towards Salesforce development and administration, and 20% towards Salesforce operation

Required Skills and Qualifications

High-level Responsibilities:

Expert level with Salesforce (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud / Pardot) from an administration and custom development perspectiveQA, testing, debugging and developing user “as built” documentation and operational manualsResponsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of customizations, applications, extensions and integrations.Translate business needs into effective and scalable products within SalesforceDrive highly visible Salesforce initiatives across the organisation and integrate across systems and present data in the right place at the right time, using the tools and platform provided by Salesforce.Responsible for all types of standard Salesforce Development and customization. This includes coding, unit testing, building applications and creating and modifying existing applicationsStrong understanding of Salesforce technology including Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Flow, Reports and Dashboards, Formulas, Data loading tools (e.g. dataloader.io, Salesforce Inspector), security configuration and is considered the ‘expert’ in Salesforce technologies.

Major Accountabilities

1. Salesforce Development

Interpreting business needs, and creating solutions that align with industry best practiceBe proficient with creating and editing custom objects, fields, workflows, field formulas and where necessary installing and integrating new third-party packages.Build Salesforce applications using Apex and Visualforce and leverage the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform to support the company’s programs.Meet with relevant stakeholders to determine business, functional and technical requirements and lead the application design, configuration, testing and deploymentWhere necessary, document the “user-stories” for each requirement to gain a clear understanding of what problem is being solved and how.Responsible for updating and making changes to already existing applications or making new ones according to requirementsTesting and implementation of package development efforts, as well as coding, configuration, and regular maintenanceManage project from ClickUp project management software, with up to date records regarding progressEnsure system security and user permissions are maintained according to company policyProvide job estimates (where needed) to manage stakeholder expectations and prioritise workload

2. Salesforce Operations

Be the main point of contact for the business users for SalesforceMaintain user accounts, reports, dashboards, flows and other tasksDevelop as-built documentation, user guides, policies and processes with regards to use of SalesforceTrain business users on how to use Salesforce in their rolesKeep up-to-date with the latest emerging technologies and staying current with Salesforce releasesProvide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and “how-to” assistanceDevelop, document and enforce application standards and proceduresManage the data ingestion and hygiene with periodic review and cleansing

Professional skills, qualifications and experience

Proven experience with at least 2 years as a Salesforce Consultant and/or Salesforce Developer with a focus on Sales Cloud developmentExperience with all of Salesforce Sales, Service and Pardot.Experience with Salesforce Lightning and expertise using Apex and Visualforce.Proficient in requirements gathering, process mapping, and creating detailed functional specificationsExperience with Salesforce technologies, including Object customisation - page layouts,Lightning pages, flow, and formula fields.
