About the Role

As a Continuous Improvement (CI) Officer is responsible for using Lean and CI methodologies/ principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence. This role involved end-to-end management of initiatives including implementing changes in workflows, structures, trainings, and methodologies used by Finance/ Compliance.  The CI Officer shall provide tools and techniques to drive toward a more efficient, effective, and process-driven organization. He/She works in close alignment with the CI Lead, stakeholders and with the Business Process Re-engineering team in driving transformation and optimization.

How you’ll contribute

  • Critically assess our existing processes, analyze corresponding data, identify problems or potential for improvement, redesign the processes/optimize them and prepare corresponding business requirements for implementation by the execution team.
  • Analyzes data on Full Time Employee (FTE), cycle time, overtime utilization, volume and any other data relevant to the value stream and/or process by performing value stream and statistical analysis to determine gaps that critically affects the performance of the value stream and/or process and prioritize for review
  • Assesses in detail the current value stream and/or process by determining issues or problems contributing inefficiencies using Lean and Design Thinking tools to determine viable solutions and courses of actions addressing the root cause/s.
  • Identify and execute CI initiatives that advance priorities of the Finance/ Compliance teams; Understand emerging business pain points and devise improvement plans
  • Reports the overall progress of the assigned Continuous Improvement (CI)  initiatives by providing documentation substantiating the success or progress of the initiative
  • Facilitates Value Stream Analysis and Lean Event (Rapid Improvement Workshop, Mini-Lean event, sessions) workshops to a cross-functional group where the value stream or process is reviewed using Lean and People Centered Design (Design Thinking) methods or tools to elicit and/or identify gaps, issues or problems and determine viable tactical solutions that will eliminate these process wastes
  • Makes a feasible plan by defining value stream transformation initiatives’ scope and determining what resources are available, estimating time and financial commitment, as well as how to monitor and report the project’s progress to achieve the goals and objectives of the project and align with the organization’s overall business strategy
  • Maintains process governance by reviewing relevant policies and processes across the Finance/ Compliance organization (identification of control gaps, inefficiencies, etc.); Ensure the Finance/ Compliance procedures, reports etc. are periodically being reviewed/ updated to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
  • Mitigates issues and risks considered as potential problems in the execution of the initiatives by identifying and escalating issues that require immediate action to Sponsor or key stakeholder that has authority in the overall decision. This is to ensure that the project does not deviate to its objectives, time plan, and budget

    What We’re Looking For

    • Bachelor’s or college degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred
    • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in operational excellence
    • 2 to 3 years in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred
    • Knowledge on the following:
    • Finance/ Compliance-related processes
    • Value stream or process mapping
    • Process re-engineering
    • Transformation initiatives and methodologies
    • Project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
    • Business operations and financial management
    • Risk management and regulatory compliance requirements
    • Basic statistics
    • Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies
    • Human Centered Design methods
    • Business process improvement
    • Business and Data Analysis
    • Change Management
    • Visio
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and diagramming skills,
