About the role

Yinshan Lending Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our dynamic team in Makati City, Metro Manila. As our HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and supporting the overall growth and success of our business. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

Human Resources (HR) Manager – Detailed Duties and Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Staffing

Responsibilities:

  • Workforce Planning: Analyze current and future hiring needs in collaboration with department heads to align with organizational goals.
  • Job Design & Descriptions: Develop accurate job descriptions and specifications based on role requirements.
  • Sourcing & Outreach: Use various channels like job boards, social media, employee referrals, and recruitment agencies to attract candidates.
  • Interview & Selection Process: Organize and participate in interviews, assessment tests, and selection panels.
  • Hiring Compliance: Ensure hiring practices comply with employment laws and diversity policies.
  • Onboarding: Coordinate comprehensive orientation programs to help new hires integrate into the organization smoothly.

2. Employee Relations

Responsibilities:

  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate disputes between employees or between employees and management.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of open communication, inclusion, and mutual respect through engagement initiatives.
  • Feedback & Surveys: Conduct employee satisfaction surveys, analyze feedback, and recommend action plans.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Manage employee discipline and termination procedures in a fair and legal manner.
  • Recognition Programs: Develop and implement reward and recognition systems to motivate employees.

3. Performance Management

Responsibilities:

  • Goal Setting: Assist departments in setting clear, measurable goals for employees.
  • Performance Appraisals: Manage periodic performance review cycles and maintain records of evaluations.
  • Improvement Plans: Identify underperformance and implement performance improvement plans (PIPs).
  • Career Development: Support the growth of high-potential employees through coaching and development planning.

4. Training & Development

Responsibilities:

  • Skills Gap Analysis: Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance data.
  • Learning Programs: Organize workshops, e-learning, and certification programs to build employee skills.
  • Leadership Development: Develop programs for leadership grooming, succession planning, and internal mobility.
  • Compliance Training: Ensure mandatory training (e.g., harassment prevention, safety protocols) is completed.

5. Compensation & Benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Salary Benchmarking: Conduct market research to ensure competitive pay structures.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage health insurance, retirement plans, paid leave, and other benefits.
  • Incentive Plans: Design bonuses, profit-sharing, and other incentives to reward top performers.
  • Payroll Coordination: Ensure timely and accurate salary processing in coordination with payroll vendors or finance teams.

6. Legal Compliance & Record-Keeping

Responsibilities:

  • Labor Law Compliance: Keep updated with local, state, and federal employment laws (e.g., EEO, OSHA, FMLA).
  • Policy Enforcement: Monitor implementation and adherence to HR policies across the organization.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate employee records including contracts, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and exit paperwork.
  • Audits: Prepare for internal and external HR audits by ensuring documentation is complete and policies are followed.

7. HR Policy Development

Responsibilities:

  • Policy Design: Draft new HR policies (e.g., attendance, remote work, code of conduct) as needed.
  • Policy Communication: Train managers and staff on policy changes and updates.
  • Employee Handbook: Maintain and distribute an up-to-date employee handbook.

8. Strategic HR Planning

Responsibilities:

  • Organizational Development: Work with leadership to develop HR strategies that support long-term business goals.
  • Talent Management: Implement succession planning, high-potential programs, and workforce analytics.
  • HR Metrics: Use KPIs (e.g., turnover rate, time-to-hire, engagement scores) to measure HR performance and effectiveness.

9. Health, Safety & Wellness

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Protocols: Ensure that the workplace complies with health and safety standards.
  • Wellness Initiatives: Launch health awareness programs, mental health support, and work-life balance activities.
  • Absence Management: Oversee sick leaves, medical leaves, disability accommodations, and return-to-work programs.

10. HR Technology & Systems

Responsibilities:

  • HRIS Management: Oversee implementation and maintenance of Human Resources Information Systems (e.g., BambooHR, Workday).
  • Data Privacy: Ensure employee data is securely stored and handled in compliance with privacy laws (e.g., GDPR).
  • Automation: Streamline repetitive tasks such as time-tracking, leave management, and recruitment workflows through software tools.

  • Team Management: Supervise HR staff and ensure their professional development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, legal, IT, and department heads for aligned operations.
