Role Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support our finance and operations team. This is a direct contractor role based in the Philippines, ideal for someone with strong accounting skills and a drive to grow within a dynamic U.S.-based company.

What You'll Do

  • Record, classify, and reconcile daily financial transactions
  • Assist with monthly close, P&L, balance sheets, and reporting
  • Manage A/P and A/R — billing, invoicing, and follow-ups
  • Support payroll reporting and time tracking
  • Prepare compliance documents for U.S. tax filings (e.g., 1099s)
  • Maintain clean records and internal controls
  • Collaborate with U.S. team and leadership
  • Use tools daily: QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace

Tools & Tech Skills

  • Advanced Excel proficiency required (you may be asked to show examples)
  • Familiar with general ledger systems (QuickBooks Desktop a plus)
  • Bonus: experience with SQL, Tableau, PowerPivot, or other BI/reporting tools
  • Familiarity with CRM or inventory systems is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping
  • Experience working remotely and independently
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset

Schedule & Contract Type

  • Full-time: 40 hours/week
  • Hours aligned to U.S. Mountain Time (MT)
  • Remote, direct contractor (non-employee, no statutory benefits)
