JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for leading the department Learning, Education, Advancement and Development (LEAD) by assessing, developing, and implementing the company's organization development programs and projects. This role also drives the overall strategy in developing training plans and programs that align the workforce with key business strategies and initiatives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organization Development Function

  1. Act as a change agent providing the support and mechanism to implement major changes to the operations of the business.
  2. Assist in facilitating the implementation of organizational effectiveness interventions.
  3. Develop and/or align performance management program with key organizational goals and assist in the implementation of the performance management system.
  4. Participate in the identification and development of a competency model to be used throughout various organizational programs.
  5. Design and implement employee development programs that support the organization's succession plan.
  6. Facilitate the review and updating of the company's organizational structure and job descriptions.
  7. Assist in the area of leadership development, organizational redesign, team development and change management.

Training Function

  1. Conducts Training Needs Analysis (TNA) studies to determine training needs within organization.
  2. Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
  3. Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
  4. Selects or develops testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.
  5. Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, in-service training, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, apprenticeship programs, customer service, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading, retraining displaced workers, leadership development and other technical and behavioral training program when need arises.
  6. Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
  7. Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
  8. Conducts regular evaluation/revision/enhancement of training curriculum to improve effectiveness.
  9. Evaluates and recommends participation of employees in outside (public) training programs.
  10. Develops and administers training budget, maintain training records, and/or develop and implement an employee career mobility program.
  11. Recommends Training Program based on the need of the company.
  12. Recommends activities/programs to ensure continuous effectiveness of training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Graduate of BS Psychology, Human Resource Management or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

With at least 7 years of experience in Organization Development and Training

  • Excellent technical writing and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Can easily adapt to every changing dynamics of the department based on company needs.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and presentation skills required.
  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledgeable in principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Adept in principles and techniques of coaching, mentoring and performance consulting.
  • Knowledgeable on adult learning theory and instructional methodologies.
  • Informed in business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Design and perform needs assessments and training evaluations.
  • Come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
  • Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  • Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, distance and e-learning, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
