JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Development Officer drives company growth by identifying new opportunities, fostering client relationships, and executing strategic sales plans. This role focuses on market expansion, lead generation, and collaboration to achieve revenue goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research into existing and unconventional content sources, both locally and internationally, to find potential acquisitions, sales, and assist in further growing the units network of contacts & generate more leads for business opportunities.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager to prepare clear and concise documentation and contracts with clients and/or suppliers, to ensure smooth flow of business unit's overall operation.
  • Handle the creation of sales materials like e-flyers with detailed product information and screener links, to be use as sales tools in attracting potential clients.
  • Facilitate the preparation, completion, and submission of all client-required and post-sales materials once a deal is finalized.
  • Update lineup of film markets and film festivals. Stay abreast of the latest information on all film markets and festivals and potential opportunities.
  • Prepare agenda for film market meetings following an organized format.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of local and international contacts, which are accessible and readable to all.
  • Maintain a positive and productive relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Perform any task that may be assigned by the senior manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in broadcast or mass communication, film, marketing, advertising, arts, or other related courses.

Experience: Preferably with 3-5 years work experience from a media and entertainment company.

Skills:

  • Strong research skills with the ability to find a network of contacts from unconventional sources.
  • Resourceful, keen attention to detail and skilled in workplace organization.
  • A creative eye for creating and reviewing sales materials that can capture clients' attention.
  • Knowledgeable in B2B selling.
  • Passionate or has an interest in the film industry and content landscape with a keen eye for good quality content and the ability to understand media terms and market trends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in building and maintaining internal and external valuable relationship.
  • Ability to keep confidentiality of sensitive business information.
