We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Accountant with strong experience in property management and homeowners association (HOA) accounting. This is a fully remote role, but requires alignment with US working hours. The ideal candidate is skilled in handling complex accounting tasks, enjoys problem-solving, and can build positive relationships with homeowners, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of property management and HOA accounting, including monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and reserve fund tracking.
  • Handle invoicing, billing, and payment processing for homeowners associations and vendors.
  • Work closely with HOA boards and homeowners to address financial questions and resolve issues with a professional, positive approach.
  • Oversee accounting for construction and renovation projects, including cost tracking and budget reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in QuickBooks Online.
  • Collaborate with property managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in property management accounting and HOA accounting.
  • Experience working with homeowners associations and HOA boards.
  • Knowledge of construction and renovation accounting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with a positive, solutions-focused personality.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with timely delivery of reports and financial tasks.
