As the Operations Group Head, you will lead the entire Branch Banking operation, encompassing all full-service Branches and Branch Lite Units. You will be responsible for:

  • Operational Excellence: Architecting and implementing best-in-class operational policies, procedures, and controls to ensure efficiency, compliance, and superior service delivery across all front-line units.
  • Strategic Leadership: Translating the bank's strategy into actionable operational plans for the branch network, driving performance targets for service quality, and minimizing risk.
  • Team Transformation: Leading, mentoring, and developing a dynamic team of Branch Managers, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer obsession.
  • Customer Experience: Championing initiatives that elevate the in-branch customer journey, ensuring a consistent and exceptional experience whether in a full branch or a branch lite unit.
  • Tech Integration: Overseeing the successful adoption and utilisation of new technologies within branch operations to drive automation and efficiency.

This is a senior leadership role requiring extensive, proven experience in the banking sector.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive, senior-level experience in Branch Operations, Retail Banking Operations, or a related field within the financial services industry.
  • Minimum Experience Requirement: Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing and leading a large, multi-site network (multiple branches and/or branch lite units).
  • Multi-site Management: Proven experience in managing and leading 11-20 branches or equivalent operational units simultaneously.
  • Expertise: Deep expertise in banking regulations, operational risk management, and process re-engineering (Lean/Six Sigma a plus).
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Educational Preference: While a Bachelor's degree is required, a Master's degree is preferred for this senior leadership position.
