Finance Specialist-Payroll

Iloilo City, Western Visayas, Philippines Lead Generation and Donor Creation Inc. Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Computes and process employees' payroll, professional fees, bonuses and 13th month pay Processes payments for government mandated contributions (SSS, HDMF and Pag-Ibig) including loans and other benefits.
  • Prepares final paychecks and other documents related to employee's separation from the company.
  • Maintains and updates payroll information including employees' alphalist, cash advances, authorized deductions, bonuses.
  • Monitors the monthly accrual of payroll and 13th month pay.
  • Ensures that all payroll transactions are recorded in Quickbooks system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Organize the filing of all payrolls related documents.
  • Monitors the cash inflows and outflows in bank payroll account Performs the monthly bank reconciliation for the company's bank accounts.
  • Assists in preparations of the employees' budget request.
  • Acts as a custodian and endorses budget for the company' engagement activities.
  • Collaborates with human resource department to ensure that employees' payroll-related issues are resolved timely and efficiently.
  • Maintains that payroll transactions are according to policies and procedures of the company and in legal compliance.
  • Participates in ad hoc and special projects to improve payroll processes.
  • Assist for delivering reports and relevant information for year-end audits.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Preferably Certified Public Accountant.
  • Has several years of experience in handling the role for payroll in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound understanding of basic accounting, tax and wage laws Ability to post, calculate and manage financial records with confidentiality.
  • Has data entry skills, with high level of accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Knowledge of or experience in using accounting management systems and other relevant software (Quick Books, SAP, Xero, Oracle).
  • Has negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Has a willingness to learn new software platforms.
  • Possess multitasking and organizational skills and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
