Senior Presales Solutions Engineer

Location: Manila, Philippines / Remote work (WFH)

Total Offered OTE: PHP 4.6M (70% base / 30% commission)

• Base: ~PHP 3.22M (~PHP 268K/month)
• Commission/bonus: ~PHP 1.38M (~PHP 115K/month)

Experience Required: 7–9 years of relevant experience

Employment type: 12 months contract renewable

• Minimum 6–7 years of experience required.
• Must have hands-on experience in Cyber Security and Cloud Computing and have exposure to AI space / protecting AI assets.
• Preference for candidates coming from competitors such as F5 Networks, Cloudflare, Fastly, AWS, Zscaler, Google Cloud.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a strong advantage for this pre-sales role.

• As a Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. Build relationships, become a trusted advisor to customers, and deliver innovative solutions using all the technologies Akamai offers.
• Grow revenue and acquire new business by evangelizing Akamai's technology to existing and prospective customers.
• Manage the technical proposal process, ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate.
• Engage with customers during the sales cycle to gather requirements, develop proposals, design solutions, deliver demos, and execute proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen customer relationships by becoming the go-to person for technical queries.
• Partner with Business Support, Sales, Engineering, Product Development, and Technical Support to resolve issues during customer trials, integrations, or post-implementation support.
• Accurately scope implementation timelines for integrations.
• Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies.
• Review configurations with other Professional Services team members to ensure quality and accuracy against requirements.

Skills Required

• Experience in a technical pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, or customer-facing role delivering technical products or services.
• Knowledge in security and Internet technologies, including API security, content delivery, and web architecture (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, TLS).
• Fluency in cloud computing, including Kubernetes, storage solutions, and developer tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and a customer-focused mindset.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-changing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php3,300, Php4,600,000.00 per year
