Job Description

As a Reinforcement Steel Detailer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of structural designs. You'll be responsible for producing detailed shop drawings, sourcing materials, and collaborating with engineers and production teams to deliver top-quality reinforced steel layouts for large-scale projects.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's / College Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Proficient in CAD and capable of deriving take-offs and quantities electronically from drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle urgent project requirements.
• Proven experience handling multiple customer demands effectively.
• Experience in CAD drawing within the construction industry; reinforcing steel experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet preparation.
• Experience in managing staff or as a Project Manager is an advantage but not essential.
• Willing to work onsite in Eastwood City.

Your Daily Tasks

• Identify areas that require re-engineering to avoid clashes in steel.
• Re-draw reinforcing from construction drawings to align with established methodologies.
• Source the correct materials required for projects.
• Produce shop drawings for prefabrication of beams/units and to assist staff on-site.
• Accurately estimate reinforcement steel in projects, ensuring documentation is completed on time.
• Communicate with customers regarding issues or additional information needed.
• Review projects to ensure accuracy and identify variations in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Production and Placing Managers to clarify job requirements and deadlines.
• Generate shop drawings and product layout plans for customers and steel placers.
