About the role

As an Estimator at LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP.', you will play a crucial role in the construction process, providing accurate cost estimates and proposals to support the company's growth and profitability. This full-time position is based in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

  • Examine construction plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather accurate information and ensure estimates reflect current market conditions
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals and bids that meet client requirements and align with the company's strategic objectives
  • Maintain a database of historical cost data to improve the accuracy of future estimates
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to project teams
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for estimating
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to secure the best possible pricing for materials and subcontractor services

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and bid documents
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately calculate material quantities, labor, and equipment requirements
  • Excellent mathematical and computer skills, including proficiency in estimating software and spreadsheet applications
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Relevant certifications or education in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
