About the role

Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, this full-time Purchasing Staff role at LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP.' is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, equipment and services to support the company's operations in Quezon City Metro Manila. As a key member of the Purchasing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient supply of resources to meet production targets and maintain high standards of quality.

What you'll be doing

  1. Researching and identifying reliable suppliers for a wide range of materials, parts and services required by the manufacturing operation
  2. Negotiating the best possible pricing, delivery terms and quality standards with suppliers
  3. Raising and issuing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries and following up on any issues
  4. Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all purchasing activities
  5. Collaborating closely with production, logistics and quality assurance teams to understand requirements and ensure timely supply of materials
  6. Identifying opportunities to improve purchasing processes and implement cost-saving measures
  7. Providing regular reports and updates on purchasing activities and performance metrics

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or a related supply chain role, ideally in the construction or manufacturing industry
  2. Knowledge on importation
  3. Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers
  4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and documentation
  5. Analytical mindset to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements
  6. Proficiency in using purchasing and inventory management software
  7. Commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance
