About the role

Join the dynamic team at LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP.' as a full-time Machinist based in Quezon City Metro Manila. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machines and equipment to produce high-quality steel components and products. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.

What you'll be doing

  1. Set up, operate and monitor a range of metalworking machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders and drill presses
  2. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work orders to ensure accurate machining of parts
  3. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to optimise performance and minimise downtime
  4. Maintain detailed records of production, machine usage and quality control data
  5. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  6. Collaborate with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvements

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  2. Strong working knowledge of metalworking machines, tools and techniques
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders
  4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  5. Keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety
  6. Strong teamwork and communication skills
  7. Technical diploma or certificate in Machining or a related field
