Position Overview

The Legal Officer is responsible for providing legal support, advice, and guidance to the organization to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, handling legal disputes, mitigating legal risks, and supporting corporate governance and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Support

  • Provide accurate and timely legal advice to management and departments on various legal issues.
  • Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and internal policies to the organization's operations.
  • Support strategic and operational decision-making with sound legal analysis.

Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the organization's interests.
  • Maintain a contract management system and ensure timely renewals and compliance with terms.
  • Advise on contract disputes and support resolution processes.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify potential legal risks and recommend preventive measures.
  • Support internal compliance initiatives and audits in coordination with relevant departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bar Passer
  • 3–5+ years of post-qualification legal experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law.
  • Experience in Construction / Real-estate industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, labor, and contract law.
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and research skills.
  • High attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Php70,000.00 per month
