Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive, accurate, and timely legal research to support the mandates, programs, and special initiatives of the Office of the Director for Special Concerns (ODSC).
- Review position papers, guidelines, policies, implementing rules and regulations, and other documents pertinent to issues handled by the Office, and research on relevant matters related to these.
- Provide legal and policy research assistance in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of special projects and inter-office undertakings under the direction of the Director for Special Concerns.
- Assist in the preparation of official communications, memoranda, endorsements, and reports requiring legal input or analysis, in accordance with the prescribed format and standards of DENR
- Coordinate with concerned DENR offices, other government agencies, and stakeholders to gather information or clarify legal and policy matters in relation to concerns handled by ODSC.
- Provide technical and administrative assistance during meetings, consultations, and special events facilitated by the ODSC.
- Perform other related functions as may be assigned by the Director for Special Concerns or higher authorities.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least a 2nd-year Law student, Law graduate, or with a background in legal studies.
- Prior experience in legal research, drafting, or a similar support role is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and strong customer service orientation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
Job Type: Full-time
