Core responsibilities

  • Planning and coordination: Develop logistics plans, coordinate with shipping providers, customs agents, and suppliers to schedule shipments and deliveries.
  • Documentation and compliance: Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Shipment tracking and optimization: Track the status of shipments, monitor transport costs, and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Communication and reporting: Liaise with internal teams and external partners to provide updates on logistics and prepare reports, forecasts, and financial tracking.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Technical skills: Proficiency in logistics software and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is essential. Experience with SAP software is often preferred.
  • Organizational skills: Must be highly organized with strong multitasking abilities to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)are necessary.
  • Problem-solving: Must be able to troubleshoot challenges, identify delays, and find solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Financial acumen: Understanding of basic financial principles and ability to interpret financial documents is often required.
