HR Payroll Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Payroll Assistant is responsible for the various functional activities of timekeeping and payroll administration and clearance of the employees.
The position is directly reporting to the HR Supervisor and HR Group Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures strict adherence to payroll schedules to ensure timely and accurate payroll implementation.
Periodically reviews timekeeping policies and guidelines to make it relevant to the needs of both the employees and the Company.
Computes and double checks the processing of final pay for resigned employees and coordinates with HR concerned for the employees' proper compliance with clearance, quitclaim prior to issuance of the final check payment.
Monitors monthly reconciliation of payroll accounts and ensures that account balances in payroll entries are equal with accounting entries.
Ensures strict confidentiality of the Company's payroll transactions, the submission of the monthly payroll report to Accounting and the distribution of payroll pay slips to the employees.
COMPETENCIES
● Proficiency in processing payroll accurately and efficiently, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
● Ability to handle and maintain confidential employee data, including payroll records, time and attendance information, and tax forms, while ensuring data accuracy and security.
● Familiarity with payroll software and systems used for processing payroll, generating reports, and managing employee information.
● An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written

● With excellent people skills and adept in dealing with people across the different levels of the organization.
● Superior judgment, decision-making skills and conflict resolutions.
● Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
EDUCATION
● Bachelor's degree in human resources management, organizational development, applied behavioral sciences, Psychology, business administration or related field.
EXPERIENCE
● At least one (1) year of experience as HR Assistant, preferably from a service delivery (BPO/Shared Service) setting.
