Job Summary
The Accounting Manager oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supports business decision-making by maintaining financial health and accountability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage general accounting functions, including A/R, A/P, G/L, and taxes.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Develop internal control policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor accounting staff; assign tasks and set goals.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
