Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Care Coordinator to join our Home Health team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring seamless operations by managing nurse schedules, supporting recruitment efforts, monitoring schedules for compliance, and handling authorizations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about the home health industry. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule nurses and other care staff to meet patient needs, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency.
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Monitor schedules for accuracy, compliance with regulations, and any necessary adjustments.
  • Manage authorizations for services, including coordinating with insurance providers, physicians, and patients to secure approvals in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, patients, families, and internal teams to resolve scheduling conflicts or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records in our scheduling and authorization systems.
  • Support quality assurance by tracking schedule adherence and reporting on key metrics.
  • Collaborate with the care team to improve processes and enhance patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in scheduling, coordination, or administrative roles; home health industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and scheduling software (e.g., KanTime, Kinser).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a remote environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated home office space for remote work.
  • Knowledge of home health regulations, insurance authorizations, or HIPAA compliance is a bonus.
