Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports to Administrative Department Head.
  • Accountable to the Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health program at all times at assigned project site.
  • Accountable to the preparation and timely submission of all safety program documentations at assigned project site.
  • Inspects safety belts, helmets, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and tools and replaces those not meeting safety requirements.
  • Observes crews at work and reports laxity in safety precautions, such as failure to use goggles, gloves, safety helmet and other safety devices.
  • Investigates accidents to determine causes and devises preventive measures.
  • May instruct workers in use of safety equipment and safe work methods.
  • Inspects places to detect unsafe or unhealthy working conditions: Inspects work environment, machinery, equipment and other work sites for conformance according to procedure or in response to complaint or accident.
  • Rates unsafe condition according to factors, such as severity of potential injury, likelihood of recurrence, accident / incident records and evidence of voluntary compliance.
  • Observes employees at work to determine compliance with safety precautions and safety equipment used.
  • Reviews log of reportable accidents and preventive actions taken to determine employers attitude toward compliance with regulations.
  • Tours project site to inspect fire and safety equipment, equipment, tools and all workers to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinates safety and first aid training to educate workers about safety policies, laws, and practices.
  • Investigates accidents/incidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident/incident report.
  • Surveys all areas & find out the unsafe act & unsafe condition & taking corrective action.
  • Follows the work permit system like hot work, confine space entry work, at height work & depend on different activity.
  • Confers with department heads concerning such problems as accident rates and abuse of equipment, and recommends measures to improve safety records and to conserve equipment.
  • Reports directly to the top management on "high risk accident"

Required Education, Skills, Experience and Other Career Qualification:

  • At least high school graduate.
  • With COSH Training Certificate from any Technical Schools.
  • At least 1 year experience.
  • Can communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Physically fit.
