About the role

JRBuilders Company Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and contractors on construction sites. This full-time position is a vital component of our commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance within the construction industry.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards
  2. Developing and implementing comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and training programs
  3. Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and recommending corrective actions
  4. Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture
  5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices
  6. Providing guidance and support to employees on safety-related matters
  7. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to safety activities

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  2. Thorough understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and other relevant safety standards
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
  4. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address safety risks
  5. Proficient in the use of safety management software and data analysis tools
  6. Possess a valid Safety Officer certification or equivalent qualification
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
