About the role

Krisan Safety, a leading provider of industrial safety equipment, is seeking a motivated and experienced Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic team. As Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of materials, supplies, and services to support our manufacturing operations. This is a full-time position based in our Quezon City office.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the entire purchasing process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and placing orders
  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production and logistics, to align purchasing activities with business needs
  • Analyse market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations
  • Provide regular reporting and metrics to management on purchasing activities and performance

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in industries requiring PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Knowledge of PPE materials, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields (preferred).
