JOB PURPOSE

To lead the end-to-end development and management of new product introductions within the assigned category, ensuring alignment with category goals and driving innovation through strategic insight gathering. The role is pivotal in fostering strong supplier partnerships to boost sales, enhance profitability, maintain supply continuity, and uphold supplier compliance.

KEY ROLE:

Key sourcing professional responsible for end-to-end process management from category strategy alignment, portfolio gap analysis, initial sourcing, product launch and performance evaluation.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Strategic Sourcing Leadership

  2. Lead end-to-end sourcing for the assigned categories, including supplier engagement, cost negotiations, timeline fulfillment, and alignment with category strategy/ priorities.

  3. Present sourcing recommendations and cost proposals to the Portfolio Head and SteerCo for approval.

  4. Support sourcing items for special projects and onsite accounts when necessary.

  5. Product Rollout and Execution Monitoring

  6. Monitor sourcing progress of all committed and non-committed new SKUs under the Rx category to ensure timely rollout.

  7. Track and initiate purchase requests (PRs), purchase orders (POs), and inter-warehouse transfers to ensure product availability across distribution centers (DCs).

  8. Ensure seamless execution of product placement and validate readiness before turnover to the Category team.

  9. Data Management and Reporting

  10. Prepare and validate key reports including IS Reports, New Items Masterfile, and ad hoc requests from FP&A and SteerCo.

  11. Collaborate with cross-functions for data validation, insights generation, and dashboard maintenance to track SKU status and pipeline health.

  12. Ensure timely, complete, and accurate reporting to support executive decision-making.

  13. Market Intelligence and Benchmarking

  14. Review IQVIA and Nielsen data to extract relevant trends, category performance metrics, and competitor movements.

  15. Consolidate shopper behavior and store feedback to identify new opportunities and support strategic planning.

  16. Coordinate field checks and benchmarking activities to inform sourcing strategies.

  17. New Product Pipeline and Post-Evaluation Monitoring

  18. Maintain sourcing trackers and dashboards reflecting status from initiation to readiness for turnover.

  19. Ensure sourcing inputs are complete ahead of product deliberation and approvals.

  20. Lead post-launch performance evaluations of newly onboarded products, recommending retention, scaling, or delisting based on defined success metrics.

  21. Supports NPD Manager

  22. Provide assistance in the preparation of materials, reports, and presentations for meetings and strategic reviews.
