BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager plays a key role in driving the company's growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and strengthening client relationships. This position focuses on expanding the company's footprint within the logistics, warehousing, and freight forwarding sectors. The role requires a proactive professional with strong commercial acumen who can develop customized solutions for clients, negotiate effectively, and contribute to the company's long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Growth Strategies – Formulate and implement business development plans to achieve company sales targets and revenue objectives.
  • Market and Opportunity Analysis – Identify, research, and pursue potential clients and emerging market opportunities within the logistics and supply chain industry.
  • Client Relationship Management – Build, nurture, and sustain long-term relationships with key customers through consistent engagement, trust-building, and solution-based selling.
  • Sales and Negotiation – Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations; lead negotiations to close business deals and secure contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with internal departments (Operations, Customer Service, and Finance) to ensure smooth client onboarding and high-quality service delivery.
  • Market Intelligence – Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to identify trends, client demands, and potential risks or opportunities.
  • Brand and Network Representation – Represent the company at industry-related events, exhibitions, and conferences to strengthen brand visibility and establish new connections.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting – Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare progress reports, and recommend strategic actions to management.
  • Team Support and Leadership – Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior sales or business development team members (if applicable).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years in sales, business development, or account management—preferably within the logistics, freight forwarding, or warehousing industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, with an established professional network in the industry.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and close deals.
  • Performance-Driven: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and driving consistent business growth.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to assess client needs and develop tailored business solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competent in using MS Office applications and CRM systems for sales tracking and reporting.
  • Work Setup: Must be amenable to work onsite in Binondo, Manila.
