Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid COSH certification and be DOLE-accredited as a Safety Officer
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in construction, safety management, or similar field
  • Knowledgeable in DOLE and OSH regulations
  • Experience in timekeeping and warehouse management is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google (Word, Excel)
  • Fire watcher certificate holder is an advantage.
  • Must possess analytical and logical thinking
  • Problem-Solution approach towards work
  • Proactive and collaborative
  • Must have good character and knows how to boost morale of people working around him/her.
  • Must be open to working over time, night/day shift, weekends, when necessary.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision

Job Descriptions:

  • Implement and monitor compliance with occupational health and safety protocols in accordance with DOLE standards
  • Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits
  • Prepare incident reports and safety documentation as required by DOLE
  • Serve as the company's official Safety Officer for DOLE compliance and reporting
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping records of workers, ensuring attendance and work hours are properly documented
  • Act as Warehouseman, overseeing inventory, storage/safekeeping, and issuance of materials and supplies when necessary
  • Must ensure that all equipment is functional and report in case of malfunctions that trigger safety concerns.
  • Coordinate with the project and site managers on safety, personnel, and logistical needs
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and regular safety orientations for workers
  • Ensure availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ensure daily tool box meetings are done and safety reminders.
  • Impose penalties, with cost, to personnel and subcontractors approved by the PM for penalties from unsafe acts and violations to PMTC and Building guidelines
  • Flexible to adjust in case of permits (gate pass/ work permits) needs to be secured.
  • Daily report and incident/accident report prior investigation within an hour, and after investigation within the day.
