JOB OVERVIEW

PHILMETAL PRODUCTS, Inc is looking for a dynamic and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Makati City Metro Manila.

As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the work environment. Your primary focus will be to implement and maintain robust safety protocols, promote a culture of safety, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and training program
  • Investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Providing safety-related training and education to employees, ensuring they are fully aware of safety practices and procedures
  • Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of our operations
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety activities, incidents, and compliance
  • Staying up-to-date with industry best practices, safety regulations, and relevant legislation

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective safety management systems
  • Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, including OSHA and local safety standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate employees at all levels
  • Proficient in relevant safety software and data analysis tools
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and mitigate potential safety risks
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuously improving safety practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php23,000.00 per month
