Job Summary:

The Project-Based Safety Officer 2 is responsible for ensuring the implementation of safety and health standards at the project site. The position promotes a safe working environment, prevents accidents, and ensures compliance with DOLE and company safety regulations throughout the project duration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Safety Management

  • Enforce compliance with company safety policies and DOLE Department Order No. 13.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure all site activities are performed safely.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

2. Incident Control and Reporting

  • Investigate and report accidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare incident and safety reports for submission to management or DOLE when required.
  • Coordinate with the Safety Head and Project Manager in implementing corrective actions.

3. Training and Orientation

  • Conduct safety orientation for new workers and visitors on site.
  • Lead daily toolbox meetings and promote safety awareness.
  • Participate in emergency drills and assist in implementing safety programs.

4. Monitoring and Documentation

  • Maintain updated safety records, inspection checklists, and safety permits.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor compliance among all workers and subcontractors.
  • Keep first aid kits and fire safety equipment ready and well-maintained.

Qualifications:

  • DOLE-accredited Safety Officer 2 (SO2).
  • Completed 40-hour BOSH for Construction training.
  • Preferably a graduate of Engineering, Architecture, or related technical course.
  • At least 1–2 years of site safety experience (construction preferred).
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Physically fit and willing to be assigned on-site.

Pay: Php17, Php19,000.00 per month
