The Laborer (Pahinante) assists in the loading, unloading, and delivery of sugar and related products in support of the company's trucking and trading operations. The role ensures that all goods are handled safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards to maintain the quality of the products being transported.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in loading and unloading sugar sacks, molasses containers, or other related products from trucks.
  • Ensure that all loads are properly arranged and secured to prevent damage or spillage during transport.
  • Help in weighing, counting, and recording sugar sacks or goods loaded and unloaded.
  • Accompany the truck driver on deliveries and assist in offloading at mills, warehouses, or customer sites.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the truck and loading areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
  • Support the driver in checking and verifying delivery documents (waybills, receipts, etc.).
  • Report any damaged or missing goods to the driver or logistics supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by management to support operations.

Qualifications:

  • At least High School Level or Graduate.
  • Physically fit and able to carry heavy loads (up to 50 kg).
  • Honest, hardworking, and reliable.
  • Willing to travel long distances and work on flexible hours (including weekends/holidays).
  • With or without experience (experience in trucking, warehouse, or sugar trading is a plus).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily outdoors or in warehouses where sugar and related products are stored.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and changing weather conditions may occur.
  • Requires manual labor and physical endurance on a daily basis.
