Procurement and Inventory Head is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process and inventory management to ensure that goods and materials are sourced, stored, and distributed efficiently and cost-effectively. This leadership role requires strategic planning, supplier negotiation, stock optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain supply chain continuity, reduce costs, and support organizational growth.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to secure the best value and mitigate risk.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and value improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand material and service requirements.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee inventory planning, stock control, and warehousing operations.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and operational needs while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Develop and implement inventory management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Forecast demand based on historical data, market trends, and business projections.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for efficient material handling and distribution.
  • Monitor slow-moving or obsolete inventory and implement action plans.

Team & Systems Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement and inventory team.
  • Evaluate and implement procurement and inventory management
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement and inventory processes.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in procurement and inventory management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in retail or restaurant set up.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies and inventory control methodologies.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Working Conditions
  • Office and warehouse environment with occasional travel to supplier sites.
  • May require extended hours during peak periods or emergencies.
