Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Executive Sous Chef located in Cebu. The Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing kitchen staff, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring food safety and sanitation. Daily tasks include menu planning, inventory management, food preparation, and collaborating with the head chef to create new dishes. The Executive Sous Chef will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, coordinating with suppliers for ingredient purchases, and ensuring that all kitchen activities comply with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Culinary skills: Advanced cooking techniques, Menu planning, and Food preparation
  • Management skills: Staff supervision, Training and mentoring, and Inventory management
  • Food safety and sanitation: Knowledge of health and safety regulations, Food handling procedures, and Kitchen cleanliness
  • Organizational skills: Attention to detail, Time management, and Coordination with suppliers
  • Passion for culinary arts and creativity in developing new dishes
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution
