Home-Based Bookkeeper

The DCX Client Services - Home-Based Bookkeeper will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills while showcasing the expertise you've gained from past experiences. This role requires strong attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to follow established client processes.

• Accounting Knowledge – Excellent understanding of accounting regulations, GAAP, and bookkeeping procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Record Financial Transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions in the accounting system, maintaining updated ledgers and supporting documentation.
• Accounts Receivable & Payable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments to vendors, and follow up on outstanding receivables. Reconcile payables and receivables accurately.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and ensure all transactions are properly accounted for.
• Payroll Processing: Support payroll operations, maintain payroll records, and ensure compliance with labor and tax regulations.
• Budget Management: Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, tracking performance against forecasts.
• Data Entry & Administrative Tasks: Maintain fixed asset records, manage petty cash, support staff accountants, and assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of bookkeeping, general accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Language Proficiency: Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, databases, and accounting tools.
• Industry-Specific Knowledge:
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
• Experience with QuickBooks, SAP, or similar accounting software.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable/receivable principles and reconciliation processes.
• Previous offshore or remote work experience is a plus.
