Job Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Administration:

  • Oversee the daily operations of servers, networks, and data centers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Manage virtualization environments, including the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of virtual machines and servers.
  • Conduct intermediate to advance troubleshooting and setup. Log investigation, Security Infrastructure, and maximizing resources to accommodate client's application.
  • Implement and maintain system backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Maintains and updates the documentation regarding client infrastructure data.
  • Prepares and manages Infrastructure Projects. Maintains post project documentation.

System Administration:

  • Manage and maintain on-prem, cloud-based infrastructure and hybrid environments.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automation of routine tasks and system monitoring.
  • Administer and monitor storage systems, ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Work and troubleshoot network related task in the Infrastructure and VPN.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure all systems are secured according to industry best practices and company policies.
  • Ensures client security patches, anti-virus, certificates, and accesses are up to date.

  • Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, addressing any findings to improve system security.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide tier 2 or 3 support for escalated technical issues, offering expert resolution and guidance.
  • Serve as a technical resource for complex problem resolution and system optimization.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Mentorship:

  • Mentor and provide guidance to system administrators.
  • Lead by example in adopting best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience and with at least 3 years in a senior role, preferably in MSP.
  • With a good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Has the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical person
  • Certification in Microsoft, Windows, Cisco, or Symantec is a big plus.
  • Experience and knowledge of Windows OS troubleshooting, and configuration is a must.
  • Experience and knowledge of Mac OS troubleshooting, and configuration is an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge with different security platforms, anti-virus, and malware (Symantec Endpoint Protection, Windows Defender, etc.) is a must.
  • Experience and knowledge with the following technology is a must: Microsoft Azure/Entra, Microsoft Office 365, Cisco, Meraki
  • Can work on night shift and occasional scheduled weekend shifts.
  • Amenable to provide on-call support and render overtime during events that require backup support.
