Job Description: IT Compliance Officer

Position Summary:

The IT Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization's information technology policies, processes, and controls comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices. This role plays a key part in supporting the organization's IT governance, risk management, and information security initiatives, ensuring that IT services and operations are delivered in a secure, compliant, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Documentation and Support
  • Prepare and maintain all required documentary evidence, reports, and logistics to support compliance activities and regulatory audits.
  • Ensure the timely availability and accuracy of compliance-related records and documentation.
  • Implementation of Policies and Controls
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and IT general controls across the organization.
  • Ensure consistent application of IT information security practices and IT service management standards.
  • Monitoring and Review
  • Plan, schedule, and communicate inspections and reviews of IT process records and compliance reports.
  • Monitor compliance with internal and external requirements, identifying risks and recommending corrective measures.
  • Audit and Incident Coordination
  • Coordinate with internal and external audit teams in the review of system-detected incidents, events, and vulnerability assessment reports.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive actions to address compliance gaps.
  • Risk and Security Oversight
  • Ensure that IT risk management and information security practices are consistently observed.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen IT governance and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT compliance, IT audit, or IT governance.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • IT general controls (ITGCs)
  • IT policies and procedures
  • Information security practices
  • Compliance and audit frameworks
  • Familiarity with standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, ITIL, PCI DSS is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Certifications (an advantage but not mandatory):

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer
  • ITIL Foundation Certification

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position, with occasional extended hours required during compliance reviews and audit periods.
  • The role requires close collaboration with IT operations, internal audit, information security, and other business units.
