About the role

As the Head Chef at Lola Cafe', you will lead and inspire our passionate culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our customers. This full-time role is based in our vibrant cafe located in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. You will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu development, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Managing and leading the kitchen team, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  2. Ensuring strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
  3. Monitoring inventory, cost control, and budgets to maximise efficiency and profitability
  4. Fostering a collaborative, positive, and productive kitchen environment
  5. Representing the cafe at industry events and engaging with the local culinary community

What we're looking for

  1. Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment
  2. Proven track record of developing and executing creative, on-trend menus that delight customers
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a talented kitchen brigade
  4. Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities
  5. Up-to-date knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sustainability best practices
  6. Passion for sourcing and showcasing the best local and seasonal produce
