We are a fast-growing SaaS technology company providing compliance services to municipalities across the United States, helping local governments with their regulatory and consumer reporting.  We are hiring a leader in the Philippines to build a team, implement new processes and technology, and ultimately expand operational capacity. This role is an opportunity to collaborate with ambitious and experienced team members in the USA.  The leaders of the company have owned several growth businesses and view a strong team in the Philippines is vital for the company's future ambitions.  The company is anticipating significant growth over the next several years.

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Country Leader / Director of Operations to launch and lead our Philippines operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building a local team, optimizing business processes, ensuring compliance, and acting as a key operational partner to our U.S. team.

You will be our first hire in the Philippines and will play a critical role in shaping the culture, systems, and growth trajectory of our international operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the company's operations in the Philippines, including hiring, onboarding, and managing a high-performing team.
  • Manage a team to complete compliance reports as an outsourced service for our clients. Implement a quality process to confirm 100% compliance.
  • Design, document, and improve business processes using Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Own the evaluation and implementation of tools and technologies to drive operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based leadership and cross-functional teams, overlapping with U.S. working hours for alignment and regular communication.
  • Lead budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation for the Philippines operation.
  • Support expanding the company's service offering by conducting research on USA compliance laws and recommend new growth opportunities and developing / executing implementation plans.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) teams to align operational capacity with revenue goals.
  • Interact with clients to obtain feedback on compliance reports and edits.
  • Build a strong process-oriented culture, fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • The role will initially require meaningful implementation and "doing" before the team gains enough scale when more delegation and management could be utilized.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field required. MBA or Masters degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in senior operations or process improvement roles.
  • Proven success in a leadership role within a BPO, SaaS, or tech-enabled services environment.
  • Strong command of process mapping, workflow documentation, and Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and launching new business units or country operations.
  • Analytical, tech-savvy, and comfortable working with data, dashboards, and modern SaaS tools.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High attention to detail, with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environment.
  • Willingness to work partial U.S. hours to ensure team coordination.
