Job Overview:
The Modern Trade Sales Executive is responsible for managing and driving sales through modern retail channels such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and large retail outlets. This position focuses on securing prime product placements, executing in-store promotions, and maintaining relationships with retail chains to maximize sales and visibility of ice cream products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Account Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key retail buyers and store managers to secure long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate product placements, shelf space, and promotional opportunities with modern trade accounts.
- Ensure ice cream products are well-stocked and visible in-store.
- Sales and Promotion Execution:
- Plan and execute in-store promotions and marketing campaigns to increase product awareness and sales.
- Analyze store sales data and adjust strategies to meet targets and maximize product performance.
- Work closely with retail marketing teams to develop tailored promotional activities.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels in retail outlets and coordinate with distribution teams to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Conduct regular store checks to ensure product quality and proper storage conditions.
- Market Analysis:
- Analyze sales performance and competitor activities within the modern trade sector.
- Provide management with insights on consumer behavior and market trends.
- Sales Target Achievement:
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Develop action plans to address any challenges in meeting sales goals.
Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in retail sales, preferably within FMCG or the ice cream industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales in a modern trade environment.
- Ability to analyze market trends and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Must be results-oriented and target-driven.
