Land Acquisition Manager

Job Summary:
The Land Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing and executing land acquisition, permitting, and stakeholder engagement strategies to support the company's energy projects. The role ensures the timely and compliant securing of land rights, permits, and community approvals needed for project development and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Land Acquisition and Management
Lead negotiations and acquisition of land, right-of-way, or lease agreements for energy projects.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements in all land-related transactions.
- Conduct due diligence on property ownership, land titles, and zoning restrictions.
Stakeholder and Community Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, local government units (LGUs), and community leaders.
- Handle issues and concerns related to land access, compensation, and community engagement.
- Support social acceptance initiatives and community development programs in coordination with CSR teams.
Project Development Support
Collaborate with project development, legal, and engineering teams to identify and secure viable project sites.
- Provide land-related risk assessments and mitigation strategies for project feasibility studies.
- Supervise land surveys, mapping, and documentation activities.
Compliance and Documentation
Oversee the preparation and management of contracts, deeds, and land documentation.
- Ensure all land transactions are properly recorded and compliant with internal governance policies and external regulations.
- Liaise with government agencies (DENR, DAR, LGUs, etc.) for land conversion, permits, and clearances.
People and Performance Management
Lead a team of Land Solutions Specialists and field coordinators.
- Develop team capability in negotiations, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor performance metrics related to land acquisition and permitting timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management, Engineering, Law, or related field.
- At least 6–10 years of experience in land acquisition, right-of-way management, or property development — preferably in power, energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine land laws, permitting processes, and LGU relations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willing to travel to project sites as needed.
