Business Development Manager

The (BDM) Business Development Manager will be a key member of the Business Development Team, reporting directly to the (GBDD) Group Business Development Director. The role will involve strategic business development, client and partner relationship management, market intelligence, internal coordination, and ad hoc financial tasks. The (BDM) Business Development Manager will also be open to working and coordinating with a real estate industry company, and may be assigned to work with other subsidiary companies or affiliates within the holding company.
Strategic Business Development:
· Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive growth and profitability as directed by the GBDD.
· Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the company's market presence.
· Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
· Build and maintain relationships with potential partners and key stakeholders.
· Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve corporate goals.
· Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
· Lead bid and proposal development, including pricing strategy and competitive analysis for GBDD's final comments and approval.
· Represent the company in trade shows, industry conferences, construction conventions, cand client meetings.
· Explore opportunities for Joint Venture and Public-Private Partnerships in coordination with the BD and GBDD.
Client and Partner Relationship Management:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, developers, consultants, government agencies and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
· Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions and services to clients.
· Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to maximize revenue opportunities.
· Lead contract negotiations and MoUs with new partners and key stakeholders.
Market Intelligence:
· Research and analyze market trends, competitors, and business opportunities.
· Develop reports and presentations to present findings to BDD and for final comments and approval by the GBDD.
· Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities and threats.
· Analyze market data and customer feedback to make informed decisions and recommendations.
· Stay updated on market regulations and compliance requirements to ensure business operations are in alignment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in any business course preferably Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or relevant graduate degree is an advantage
Professional Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or project acquisition and management roles, preferably within the construction, engineering, or real estate industry.
Proven track record of securing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects and in managing strategic partnerships.
Strong background in client relationship management, bidding, and tendering processes in both private and public sector projects.
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams such as Estimating, Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management.
