POSITION TITLE: ASSISTANT PR MANAGER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and strategy: Conduct thorough research on media trends, target audiences, and peer activities to develop and implement proactive media relations programs, campaigns, plans, and initiatives aligned with the company's business targets and communication objectives
  • Relationship building: Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers across relevant media outlets
  • Strategic public relations: Collaborate with internal teams to create impactful press releases, media advisories, statements, pitches and crisis communication materials that effectively convey key messages
  • Monitoring and analysis: Track media coverage, mentions and sentiment to generate regular reports and analysis on media coverage, highlighting successes, challenges and opportunities for improvement
  • Branded content development: Work closely with key media outlets and business units to develop engaging and informative branded content that aligns with growth plans and media relations goals
  • Other duties: Perform related work as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate with a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications. Proven track record in a managerial or leadership role within media relations or a related field.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
    : Both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling messages and press releases.
  • Media Contacts
    : A well-developed network of media contacts and the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.
  • Strategic Thinking
    : Ability to develop and implement media strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Crisis Management
    : Experience handling media relations during crises to maintain a positive public image.
  • Analytical Skills
    : Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing media coverage and public sentiment.
  • Technological Proficiency
    : Familiarity with communications technologies and media analytics tools.
  • Candidates must be willing to work onsite at MOA Complex, Pasay City.
